Fedora 10 Alpha includes a development snapshot of the 2.6.27 kernel. With this now, the new version of Fedora core support Ext4 file system format support.
There is no way, linux can not support the existance of dual booting Windows OS alongside the Linux OS. We can mount a hard disk partitioned to run on dual boot system. But we have never tried to work in the interoperatibility across the Operating Systems, like Windows and Linux, and Linux and Mac existing in the same machine and running in some static/dynamic partition.
Why can't we have a mechanism to share or call it mount itself, a Windows folder while the Linux OS is only running, and not the Windows at a time.
We do have some mechanism to run Windows binaries inside Linux, and that's really good thing.
What is the speed of kernel development going? How many lines of code per hour is getting into the linux kernel, not only to the core kernel, but also to the device driver including.
Can't we have one person from the core kernel community who explains in a video every time there is a new kernel release, this can be a press release itself. This will help the newbies to get involved very fast to the changing kernel.
This new kernel brings a new protocol that helps USB devices communicate over the IP. This allows USB devices accessible over the internet. This new protocol is called USB/IP protocol, or USB over IP.
